THE FILM AND STAGE STUDIO was founded by Athena Xenidou in 2008
The Film and Stage Studio was founded in 2008. It’s a space for artistic individuals of any age who seek a creative refuge to express themselves fully, whilst learning how to best develop their craft. Students at TFSS can dive into the entertainment industry with solid knowledge and the necessary experience. TFSS offers its students a plethora of classes, taught by some of the industry's finest local and international talent. Our alumni have secured places in some of the greatest drama schools around the globe, such as The American Academy of Dramatic Art (LA), the Stella Adler Studio (NY & LA), The Actor’s Studio (NY), The Neighbourhood Playhouse (NY), the Vancouver Film School (Vancouver), the University of Creative Arts (UK), UCL (London), Rose Bruford College (London), Italia Conti (London), Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (London), Cours Florent (Paris), as well as the prominent National Theatre of Greece Drama School (Athens).
Drama Classes
Drama For Kids
This class enables students to explore characters and learn how to make personal connections to them. They will learn how to analyze a character and answer the basic questions that actors must ask themselves when approaching a piece of work: Who? Where? What? Why? How? Students will practice the art of improvisation and engage in theatre games, warm ups and vocal exercises.
Drama For Teens
For those who would like to explore their interest in drama in more depth. Students will be given the opportunity to develop their creativity and their performance skills whilst also explore all aspects of their acting ability and technique using a wide variety of acting styles, devised work and scripted plays. Students will be assigned a monologue or scene to develop and present at the end of the year.
Drama For Adults
Playtime for grown-ups! Leave your inhibitions at the door and find your ‘inner child’ again! Each workshop will include a physical warm-up, a few games, a vocal warm-up, relaxation time, improvisation and drama games. The scenes vary from farce to drama, classics to contemporary works. Students will be assigned a monologue and/or scene to develop and present at the end of the year in an Acting Showcase.
Private Coaching
Designed for students interested in individual sessions to prepare for auditions, productions, and entry to Drama Schools etc.
